OVERVIEW OF JOB

The Zone Manager is the entry level management position at KBS Zone Managers are responsible for assuring success in the area s financial, customer satisfaction, organizational effectiveness and marketing quadrants. The Zone Manager often oversees numerous sites and may cover a significant geographic area of Hawaii. The Zone Manager may be required to work

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with and communicate regularly with portfolio customers
  • Assist in reaching company growth goals by implementing sales strategy
  • Train, communicate with, develop, and motivate area managers/supervisors
  • Perform quality control inspections
  • Help manage district GL, P&L, and budget to ensure profitability
  • Recruit, screen, and hire managers and supervisors
  • Manage employee performance and document any corrective action
  • Implement company s vehicle safety and maintenance program
  • Code and submit AP invoices
  • Submit and code extra work billings, possibly manage larger AR billings for customers with multiple locations, and assist with collection efforts
  • Dispatch work orders and inspections. Oversee and assist managers with daily closure of work orders
  • Create and maintain any reports needed by management
  • Track employee s employment pay or position changes, cost center changes, leave of absences, terminations, separation notices
  • Monitor and approve time cards
  • Manage and oversee driver s license packets, injury packets, OSHA reports, subcontractor compliance, and safety communications to employees
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience in janitorial operations strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory and leadership experience in manufacturing facilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills computer literate
  • Skilled in critical thinking with the ability to multitask and balance strategy and execution
  • Ability to manage change and use good judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional relationship management and ability to build rapport with customers
  • Familiar with the application of human resources process and procedures, including, interviewing, hiring, and performance management.
  • Must successfully pass KBS background check and have a valid Driver s License

  • EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

    Physical: Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; able to kneel, crawl, and squat periodically; able to stand and walk for extended periods; able to reach above head and shoulders continuously; able to climb stairs and ladders

    Technical: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Experience/Education: High school diploma; minimum of three years supervisory or management experience in service industry; associates degree preferred, but not required.
