The QA inspector is a senior position within the Product Processing/QA department responsible for performing all certification of new items and new vendors as well as random testing of existing product as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Investigates all problems discovered within the supply chain that compromise product integrity with the objective of preserving brand quality.
Maintains the inspection manual to be current with the Purchasing specification manual.
Physically performs all inspections as documented on all inspection criteria and specifications.
Keeps self current with all testing and inspection specifications and procedures.
Reports all QA testing results as specified and within expected time frames.
Participates routinely in product processing and quality control inspections as part of the Product Processing department.
Communicates all issues and discrepancies with appropriate parties and executes solution to achieve expected objectives.
Completes data entry assignments as required for processing and inspections.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Good math aptitude.
Organized and attentive to details.
Able to effectively operate modern office equipment.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a person to process tasks from beginning to end with minimal errors and extreme attention to detail. Must be able to recognize and react to errors and safety issues with the intention of preventing potential mistakes or injuries. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to walk and stand. The employee is required to write in longhand and operate computer equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds. Employee will be required to use tools that require dexterity and coordination. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. The noise level in the environment will be noisy to very noisy. Employee must be able to wear ear and eye protection as well as other required protective wear.
