Position Description
Work with the firm's Real Estate/Transactions Group (attorneys, paralegals and secretaries) on all aspects of commercial and real estate transactions.

Reporting
● Report to Transactions Partners for client matters (the Paralegal's Supervising Attorneys)
● Report to Law Firm Administrator/Chief Operating Officer for personnel matters

Duties
● Preparing the documentation necessary for transactions, including working with the attorneys on the matter to produce and complete agreements, conveyance documents (e.g., deeds, assignments, etc.), certificates, loan documents, etc.

● Organizing and keeping track of the transaction matters, including creating and managing checklists for the attorneys and the transactions, distributing and circulating documents for review and obtaining timely turnaround by reviewers, etc.

● Reviewing and analyzing documents, including title reports and surveys, and correcting or modifying the same to ensure conformity with the terms and requirements of the transactions.

● Coordinating firm and other persons/personnel necessary to the transaction, including obtaining the necessary and timely cooperation and product from firm and other personnel.

● Conducting research necessary to understanding and advancing the transactions, including online and at the various agencies and non-firm offices (e.g., State Archives), etc.

Education
Prefer 2 or 4 year degree
Paralegal certificate degree desirable

Work Experience
Minimum 5 years in transactions practice(s) involving real estate and/or other commercial transactions.

Critical Skills
● Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
● Ability to gather, analyze and organize facts and materials.
● Strong organizational skills: ability to organize self, attorney(s) and other persons in connection with client matters, to establish and follow through on priorities, and to meet deadlines.
